Thanksgiving is only days away and I am feeling incredibly grateful for the warm and inclusive community we have created at Camp It Up! Each year, we welcome new camper families and staff members into our fold as we continue to embrace those families and staff that have been with us for many years. I am thankful for all of those who have chosen to make Camp It Up! their “home” over these past 23 years.

This promises to be an exciting year for us. We are reviving our Winter Camp after an eight-year hiatus. It is scheduled for Presidents’ Day Weekend, February 17th -20th, 2012. Here's more information about Winter Camp and a registration form.

Our summer camp session, from August 4th-12th, 2012, is going to be great! Our theme, “I’m with the Band” promises to be a lot of fun. All campers will have an opportunity to find the rock star that lives inside them. Whether you bring your violin, bongo drums, your voice or guitar, we’ll help you strut your stuff . Camp is a place to be brave and try new things, so if being in a band has ever been your dream, this is the time and place to try it.

Of course, there’ll be lots of crafts, nature exploration, swimming, horseback riding and all of our traditional camp favorites. Disco Bingo? Casino Night? Dances? Storytelling? We’ll do it all.

To make sure there’s a spot reserved for your family, register as early as possible for both Winter and Summer camp. We do expect to fill both camps this year.

Whether you celebrate Hanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa or Solstice or some combination of the holidays, I wish you and your family a joyous Season of Light and a happy and healthy new year.
